Loved this place. My parents were married here and so were we 30 years later. This location is absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere is gorgeous. All the pictures have incredible backgrounds with flowers, the lake, the clubhouse, all fantastic.

We were so excited when we found this venue for our wedding. It was just perfect, it has the most beautiful backgrounds for pictures and has a comfy and cozy feel in the room, The fireplace just adds to warmth of the place. We worked with Laura for all of the coordination and planning of the wedding at the venue. She was incredibly helpful and never made me feel stupid when I emailed and asked her 100 questions a day. She stayed patient and gave me the honest answers that I needed. Planning a wedding can be very confusing and difficult, especially if you have never done it before and only plan on doing it once, she helped ease all of my worries and concerns and on the day of the wedding she was just great! She helped wherever she could, when we needed bubbles placed on the chairs instead of me asking one of the groomsmen to place them she jumped on it and helped do it before I could even ask someone else. It was a wonderful day and everything went perfectly! we couldnt be happier with our wedding day!

I got a huge discount on it since my parents are part of the club and live there. Normally it's like 4k for a Saturday wedding in the summer. But it's gorgeous and so easy. Get married on the lawn by the lake, and then go in the reception hall right next to it for dinner and dancing. The inside is all white and gray and a great neutral color to put next to your wedding colors. It only fits like 150 max comfortably though. So now giant weddings unless you want to get married on the lawn. You must use truly yours catering, but as I put in my review of them, they are awesome!

My wife and I fell in love with the venue when we arrived. It has a beautiful backdrop in a gorgeous lake matched with a beautiful, well kept open lawn that's just simply marvelous. Laura & Roxanne were both great in terms of working with us and our vendors. They were very flexible and tried to accomodate us to the best of their abilities. The price for the venue was a steal also. We checked around many other venues before finding and deciding on this place. We're so grateful to them for making our wedding a fantastic celebration!

After viewing several other locations, I could not stop imagining our wedding taking place at Malibou Lake. It has everything you could want for a wedding venue... Beautiful landscaping, gorgeous surrounding scenery, large reception hall, patio for cocktail hour, bridal room, chivari chairs (included), and a professional staff. Although it doesn't allow outside caterers, Truly Yours Catering will provide everything you could want in a menu for your Malibou Lake wedding. The food was delicious and there are so many options you can add or customize. I did not have my own coordinator during the planning process, so it was a relief to know that Meredith (coordinator for Malibou Lake) would take care of many of the details for us, for example timeline, placesettings, rehearsal, etc. She was easy-going and such a pleasure to work with, often lending helpful advice for a bride-to-be who doesn't know the first thing about wedding details. It was not necessary to over-do the decor or flowers because the location is charming and absolutely beautiful as is. It is a simple and elegant venue which is perfectly accessible yet tucked privately in the hills. I highly recommend seeing this site!

Meredith at Malibou Lake Mountain Club was fantastic. She made everything look so easy because she's such a pro. Everything was done in a timely manner and professionally. I couldn't have been happier the day of the wedding because everything went so smoothly. She was really flexible when we were running late for our rehearsal and helped me bustle my dress when I couldn't find my MOH. The food was fantastic and the grounds were immaculate. I am so glad I chose this location! Thank you!

Malibou Lake was GORGEOUS. If we used their caterer (Truly Yours), we got a fabulous pricing package with everything included. By everything, I mean parking, security, location reservation, ceremony chairs, reception tables, chairs, linen, utensils, etc. The whole thing! You could pay extra for special requests or fancier versions of things, but their selection of "in stock" items was so versatile that it wasn't necessary. And again, the location is BEAUTIFUL. It is a reasonable drive from Los Angeles, and a short drive from the valley, Malibu, or Topanga, and yet it feels like you are out in the country. We had the ceremony outside, on their beautiful lawn with a view of the lake, and the reception in the hall, which had a great dance floor and plenty of space for our large wedding. The porch was perfectly located (in the shade!) for cocktails and receiving.

Malibou Lake was the second venue we looked at for our wedding and fell in love instantly. This location is gorgeous. It's the perfect combination of a naturally beautiful outdoor landscape with a unique, rustic indoor reception hall. Another pro is getting the entire grounds to yourself so you don't have to worry about another wedding going on at the same time. There are some restrictions because it's located so close to residential properties (no outdoor amplified music except during the ceremony) but it's definitely worth it to be married in such a wonderful location.

Very affordable, accomodating and scenic location. The food was absolutely delicious. The place comes with a coordinator that will cover all basic details of the wedding. My family friends have been attending weddings in the Los Angeles area for over 20 years and most didn't know about this spot yet. They loved it and wondered why. I loved being in the underground loop as far as they were concerned. The chef also kept us on point throughout the event and made sure we ate, sat and enjoyed our wedding very often. Highely recommend Malibou Lake!

Malibou Lake was the perfect backdrop! I could not have been happier with the service and the venue! It was beautiful! Thanks to Laura and her staff for making it everything I dreamed about for all those months of planning! She is lovely to work with! Thank you again for a lovely wedding day!

Beautiful setting, old world charm. Better for a group no larger than about 130. We had 155 people and it was starting to get a bit cramped. Because of the natural beauty of the place, you really don't need a lot of decorations and the picture opportunities are countless. I would highly recommend you bring your own wedding coordinator to keep the day flowing and to make sure the little things are all addressed so that you have a stress-free day. Also note that you do not have a lot of space to get ready and you can't get on the premises until 1:00pm on the day of your event, so plan accordingly.

Their food was delicous, the site was beautiful and perfect for our 130 person wedding. We had our ceremony outdoors on the lawn and the reception inside. It was a beautiful perfect day, without a bump in the road.

Malibou Lake was a beautiful setting for our ceremony and cocktail hour. I felt the need to have draping inside in order to like the reception venue, but that made a huge difference and it looked great. The person I had been working with left two months before the wedding, and we never really established a rapport with the new person, but it ended up going more smoothly than we expected. Laura will get better the longer she's there, and the more she learns about the venue and rules. We hired a day of coordinator at the last minute because we realized we needed more help than we previously thought we'd need. That was a great move.

While we loved the location for the views and elements included, we have to rate this facility lower due to the coordinator. We ran into problems with her the entire time of planning the wedding, including the rehearsal and the day of the event. Malibou Lake is an amazing place to get married. It was nic to have the ceremony outside overlooking the lake, and the reception in the hall right there, all in the same location. But, beware of the location coordinator.
