Karen and her associates were professional, sweet, positive, and accomodating, which essentially everything that a bride needs on her wedding day. Karen was wonderful and patient with all of my various requests and last minute changes. She even graciously took care of my mother-in-law which I had not arranged ahead of time. She did it without a single complaint or bad feeling, and stayed until everything was done. She is absolutely worth more than she charges, and you will not be disappointed!

Karen is truly amazing and I'm so glad she was referred to me. I had one trial with her and didn't have to search any further. She and her team are extremely skilled in both hair and make-up, professional and punctual. She me feel beautiful on my big day and relieved all my stress. Awesome, awesome, awesome! Everything that was done during my trial transferred to my wedding day - I did make changes the day of, but Karen was so accommodating and helpful! She was extremely professional and I was finished in time for the photographer to start taking pictures. Her work is great and my makeup stayed on all day and night!

I found Karen in the knick of time! The first MUA that I had chosen to go with canceled on me because she had gotten the dates wrong... I panicked and frantically searched and came upon Karen Lee. I am so happy to have found her! I loved the trial that I had with her which sealed the deal. I absolutely loved the way I looked on my wedding day. I felt like myself. The makeup lasted all evening and the hair did not go out of place. She is a great professional and her assistant was also top-notch. You won't be disappointed in the quality provided by Karen!

When I had to book my hair and makeup for my wedding, I knew Karen be the best! She's very professional and prompt at responding to emails. Setting up my trial appointment was a breeze, and the final results on our wedding day was spectacular! My makeup was exactly as I hoped and lasted all day (and I had to scrub to get it off) and my bridesmaids were especially happy with the work that Karen and her girls had done. She'll go above and beyond to make sure that you're happy with your look on your special day. Would definitely recommend her! =)

Karen is amazing!!! She did my makeup and hair, as well as, one of my bridesmaids makeup and her assistant did the rest of my bridesmaids hair and makeup. They did an excellent job, we looked so beautiful. These girls know what they are doing! Just bring a picture to give her an idea and she'll replicate it and make you look like a million bucks! Also, not only is Karen the best at hair and makeup, she is a super sweet person too! She is very easy to talk to and makes you feel very comfortable. One of my bridesmaids loved her so much she has already hired her to do her hair and makeup for her 40th birthday party. So if you're looking for a excellent hair and makeup stylist, look no further! You won't be disappointed and her prices are excellent!

I hired Karen for my wedding in November 2011. When I had my makeup trial with her, I knew immediately that she was the one. Karen also did my makeup for my engagement photos shoot and I couldn't have been happier. Initially, I only hired Karen for my bridal makeup and hair. She was extremely flexible with requiring me to give her the number of additional people that would also need makeup and hair done until about a month before the wedding. I really appreciated that, because, with everything that my bridal party had to worry about, I didn't want to overwhelm my girls with having to decide if they wanted to spend the money. In the end, Karen and her two assistants, Penelope and Angela, did a great job with myself, the two moms, a sister, and 4 bridesmaids makeup and hair, all within 4-5 hours. They were on time (actually probably 10 minutes early), extremely professional, and prepared. Karen worked with me and my overly obsessive requests over and over until my hair and makeup were perfect. The makeup translated so well in my wedding photos such that I was glowing, but in such a natural way. Not just myself, but all of my wedding party were so impressed with their work. They spent the time touching up the girls that had to start getting ready earlier in the day until we were all photo ready. I really appreciated that she brought some ambiance music to play in the background while we got ready. She also was not overly chatty, which I love because with wedding day jitters, I personally would not want to be stumped for conversation. :) As for the value, just do your research and you'll see that you can't beat her prices. I would happily hire Karen again for any other special occasion makeup, and recommend her to any friends. In fact, I have, and she is going to be doing my best friend and bridal party (including me, yay!) in September 2012.

Karen is WONDERFUL! I found her through this website (Wedding Wire) and saw that she was an artist that offered her services at a reasonable price. She is quick to respond, friendly, organized, and professional. Karen can do any makeup style you want and any hairstyle you want! My hairstyle changed from when I did my trial and my wedding day. I showed her the kind of hairstyle I wanted the day of the wedding and the end product looked exactly like the picture! She's fabulous! If your wedding party is big, then she'll have assistants with her to help her out. Definitely use Karen if you want to look flawless on your wedding day!

Karen is super nice and makes faces look BEAUTIFUL! She works on you until you love your hair and makeup. Karen has a good eye for what works for you =) Make sure you do a trail so you both know what you want for your special day. I was lucky enough to have my face and hair done by Karen for 3 sessions and each time it was like hanging out with a friend!

Karen was an absolute breeze to work with. Of all the stressful things in wedding planning, my makeup & hair was the easiest decision. Not only are her rates very competitive, she's sweet and professional. She took the time to show me different options during my trial, and on the day of the wedding, she was on time, and did a marvelous job. I couldn't have wished for a better result, I was very happy. Random note, I loved how she shaped my eyebrows too, a lifechanger for sure!

Karen did a wonderful job on my makeup. It was very natural and not overdone. She was on time and even accomodated us when my cousin cancelled one of her daughters hair and makeup the day of the wedding. The makeup lasted all day and I was not a shiny mess at all! I would definately use her again if I have an event to go to.

I love love love Karen! At the trial, she informed me of the best make-up for my skin, shadows to accent my eyes, and the do's and don'ts for the look I was shooting for on my wedding day. She tried different hair styles and made slight changes to show me each angle of style available. She graciously drove to me early in the morning for my engagement session. Then, on my wedding day, she brought herself and an amazing team that made us look like royalty. It felt so good to have my bridesmaids love how they look. I highly recommend her to all brides. Her sweet and caring personality puts your nerves at ease and SHE DOES WONDERS!!

I found Karen after she did my makeup when I was a bridesmaid for my friend's wedding. When it came to my turn, I decided to shop around first. I had trials with other make up artists... and was not happy with the results. I finally went back to Karen for a trial... and I loved it. I finally found someone who was good with hair and makeup, and not just one. The night before my wedding, I was scrambling because I didn't have enough time to pick up hair accessories... so I emailed Karen. She was nice enough to let me borrow hers, and trusted me to return it to her. Also, on her advice, I bought hair extensions and she clipped them in for me without an extra charge (and still finished on time!) When I was done, she gave me a little kit with lip coloring, lip gloss, eyelash glue, powder and bobby pins. My makeup lasted the whole night!!

I hired karen to do my hair and make up for my boudoir photo shoot. She was very sweet and professional. She was great at answering any questions that I had and gave me the look that I wanted for my special photo shoot. I highly recommend Karen to any Southern California girls who is looking for a hair and make up artist.

Karen is fantastic! I've worked with Karen prior to my wedding, and both times that she has done my makeup I have been beyond happy with it. I was happy with the natural looking makeup because I don't really wear heavy makeup on an everyday basis. She helped me to feel comfortable with the makeup I was wearing on my wedding day and I had lots of compliments. Karen was punctual, always willing to answer my questions and was flexible when my needs changed fairly close to my wedding day. At the end of the day my makeup still looked great and my hair was in place- can't ask for anything better on your wedding day :) Love Karen and her work speaks for itself.

If I could, I would give Karen 10 stars for what she did for me and my MOH. After she did my hair and makeup for my engagement pictures, I knew I was in good hands with Karen. She is the sweetest girl, very patient and gentle with her technique, and takes the time to get to know you. She still remembers when I told her how much I love eating spaghetti! She spent 2 hours doing my hair and makeup for the wedding, and when you're that up close and personal with someone for two hours, you want to and HAVE to like that person! Let me just say, that I love Karen to pieces. She stayed an additional hour after my hair and makeup just to make sure that us girls were okay and that everything was pinned and was in place. When my husband first saw me he had this huge grin on his face and just said, "Wow. You're so gorgeous." Now, that's how you want your husband to greet you! I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup that day. I purchased extensions to make my hair look fuller, since my hairdo was 1/2 up and 1/2 down. She added double fake eyelashes which really made my eyes pop. I am so lucky and proud that Karen did our hair and makeup. I only wish that I had another reason to get done up, just so I can have Karen do my hair/makeup again! My MOH and I would randomly yell out throughout the day, "I love Karen." haha. Thanks Karen for everything you did for us....I'll always appreciate you for helping make me feel the prettiest I've ever felt!

Karen and her team were amazing! My bridal party and I looked red carpet worthy. I'm so glad I hired her to stay during part of the ceremony and the reception because I didn't have to worry about touching up my own hair and make-up for our pictures or after the first dance. I was worried my facial birth mark would show after a couple hours but the air brushed make-up stayed on though out the night. I loved how calm and professional she is when there are a dozen people in the room. I will definitely hire her again =)

Hair & makeup is definitely one of the most important aspects of a wedding so I did A LOT of research before finally deciding to go with Karen Lee Makeup. I loved her work so much that I used her for everything! She did my hair and makeup for me at my cousin's wedding, my engagement shoot, my bridal shower, my wedding #1 (in Orange County), and finally my wedding #2 (in Los Angeles). (same marriage, just two different ceremonies/receptions) She is super responsive to all calls and emails and is probably one of the most professional vendors that I've met. She is so talented that she knows exactly what you want, even if you can't describe it well. She is always on time and completes her work exactly when you need her to. She was very paitient with my picky bridal party and paid super close attention to details. Thanks to her, we were all looking great the entire day/night! My makeup stayed on for 12+ hours each time and even at 10pm, I was still looking flawless! It seems crazy but everytime she does my hair & makeup, it's always better than the last. I will definitely be hiring her for many special occassions in the future. I've already recommended her to many friends & family members and 2 of them has already booked her for their wedding next year! Her prices are reasonable and it was worth every single penny!
