Thus was a TERRIBLE company! I ordered a bride tote w/ my name on it.. when it arrived (weeks late b/c they "forgot" to ship it!) it just said my name, and NOT "Bride" on it. I contacted them via e-mail and phone, no reply. I finally got in touch w/ someone who told me that if I wanted to pay round-trip shipping, they'd stitch "Bride" on the OPPOSITE side of the bag for $6. No thanks. Solution #2? They would let me keep the wrong bag and give me a "discounted rate" for the bag I wanted. WTH?? TERRIBLE customer service!!! To call it "customer service" is actually a joke.. it's a DISservice to allow this scamming company to keep messing up orders and profiting from it. As a bride-to-be, the excitement of getting something that boasts this exciting time is something I was looking forward to for weeks.. the day the tote was finally set to arrive I checked the mailbox 3 times.. and then got the wrong thing. I will say that I love the bag but it's wrong and not what I ordered, and they refuse to make it right. I can't stress enough how awful Hanson Ellis is as a company and I encourage ANY and ALL brides (or anyone else) to RUN in the other direction and buy from another company!!!

Horrible HORRIBLE customer experience with them. They ended up not fulfilling my order, but DIDNT LET ME KNOW for three weeks until I hounded their customer service people. And they never made it right. I WOULD AVOID THEM if you absolutely positively need your items.

More than beautiful!!! We had a "Message in a Bottle" for our beach wedding. When I received them they were bigger and more beautiful than what was shown on the website. I didn't have enough in my first order and months later had to reorder more. They were wonderful to work with and had a new shipment our within a couple of days.

Originally, my wedding party was supposed to be only six people, so I placed an order via Hanson Ellis for engraved chopsticks and several other small favors (namely seashell turtles). I had placed several other orders, including personalized gifts, with other websites the same day, yet this order arrived several weeks after I had received my other items. Though not exactly timely, I was pleased with the quality of work. The chopsticks looked nice, and this was one of the only sites I found where you could customize the chopsticks individually rather than in sets of 12. However, the wedding party somehow grew to fourteen, and I had to place a second order. This order was basically a duplicate of the first, chopsticks, soap, and the little turtle seashells. I received the order on Tuesday, April 3rd, and to my dismay, the package was missing the seashells, even though it stated on the packing slip that they were there. I called up Hanson Ellis and explained that they were missing, and that with my wedding date being April 8th, if they were unable to get them to me, that they should just cancel them and refund my money. The agent ensured me that they would arrive on Friday via 3day shipping and it wouldn't be a problem. Friday morning, I checked the shipment tracking to find that the status has updated and my turtles wouldn't arrive until Monday. I call up Hanson Ellis, only to reach a standard answering machine. I leave my name and a message for them to contact me about the situation. Later that afternoon, I still hadn't heard from them, so I called again, only to find they had changed their answering message to a "we're closed early for Easter weekend." Again, I leave a message. Monday afternoon rolls around, still no follow up call, so I call again. Luckily, they answer and I explain my situation, at which point the agent decides to accuse of me of perhaps throwing the turtles out with the packaging. After speaking with her supervisor she says they're willing to refund the money for the turtles. I ask whether my shipping costs will be refunded to me, given that I paid to have my items shipped to me in a timely fashion. She starts by saying they paid more to ship the chopsticks and turtles (a hefty package huh?) than what I paid in shipping costs. Then she says I'm lucky they didn't charge me to express (3day ship) the turtles to my house (because I should pay for their warehouse screwing up). Then after again putting me on hold, apparently she got permission from her supervisor to credit me $2, at which point, I just gave up and accepted that they are contending for the worst customer service to exist. Oh, and her reason for them not calling me back? Apparently between Thursday night when their customer service closed, and Friday morning when they opened and I called, they're answering machine got backed up, and there were simply lots of calls to be taken care of. Right...

I purchased my invitations through them, they were messages in glass bottles w/ sand and shells in them. AMAZING! They got to me fast and were perfect and everyone loved them. I also bought some great picture frames and gifts for our families...all at very reasonable prices...great prices actually! :)

Lots of cute stuff on their website for real reasonable prices. But I ordered some tea infusers with a customized label. Got a receipt from them showing it was paid for Sept 10. After 10 days and no notice saying it had been shipped, I emailed them to ask when it might be coming. 5 more days since then and still no notice AND no response to my email. Something that I ordered the same day from a different company arrived almost two weeks ago. In this computer age, I think there is no excuse for this unresponsiveness and I won't order anything from them again.

OMG!!!! They were 100% GREAT! I had a beach wedding in Malibu, and purchased their message in a bottle invitations. Not only were the flexible, they made me feel like family. WOW! We knew exactly when our guest received their invitations, because text and calls started coming immedately. Our guest LOVED them and all of them said that they were keeping them as keep sakes. Love, Love, Love Hanson Ellis.

Thank God I only ordered one thing from here MONTHS before my reception. I orded a satin mailbox as a gift card holder. I think I ordered it in December, they billed me for it & I never received anything. I e-mailed customer service & never heard back. I called in February & said there was a problem with the engraving...there was no engraving. So they looked again & go "Oh we ran out & are ordering more." Which would have been ok except that I was supposed to get it mid-January! They asked if it was a gift, even thought the form asked who you were in relation to the wedding party. They told me that I needed to follow up in order to make sure it was shipped. Really? Why don't I just drive from NJ to CA to pick it up then??? I finally got it about two months later...thankfully my recpetion wasn't until August. They threw in a "free gift" for the delay...a cheesy looking wedding certificate holder. At the time I placed the order I was supposed to get a free mug...I called & they said they ran out & I would have to call back in two weeks to see if they got more in & to remind them to ship it to me. Thanks, but no thanks. Never again will I buy anything from them. The only upside is that their website was the only place I saw that mailbox & it was really a good item.

We bought some engraved chopsticks for our wedding. They turned out so nice and they were the most inexpensive online since we found a coupon. Would highly recommend them if your looking for engraved chopsticks!

I ordered my bridesmaids gifts from Hanson Ellis and was very happy with them! Their prices were incredible! I bought personalized beach-style tote bags, personalized seashell trinket boxes, bath salts, and little chocolate liquor bottles. Everything looked very nice and was a much better deal than I could find anywhere else.

I ordered silver bells as my wedding favor, and also to have people ring as we walked out of the church. They arrived on time and were exactly what I expected. I think they were a little expensive for what they are, but Hanson Ellis was the cheapest provider of the kind of bells I wanted.

We ordered 'message in a bottle' wedding invitations for our wedding. The first time they sent them the rolled message inside was a mess when you took it out - it was two peices are it came apart and kind of yuck. But we called and within a week they fixed the problem (loved the new invitations) and we had the new invites. We stayed on the phone with them a good bit working it out, and they were polite and quick. I would definately recommend them. They were a little pricey - over 5 bucks each, but we had a small wedding so it worked. I loved them for our beach wedding. All in all - loved the product and GREAT customer service
