April is super talented and creative; this is truly her calling. April and Amanda were extremely professional.

April is awesome! She is very professional, super friendly, and her pictures are amazing. The day of our wedding she was not jus a photographer, she was a mini coordinator; she made sure everyone had corsages and boutoniers, she helped bustle my dress when it came out, and of course, she took the most amazing pictures. Her second photographer, Robby, was equally fantastic. I can not say enough about these two and what a wonderful job they did. Love!

It was a pleasure working with April. Her work is absolutely beautiful. She has a layed back and friendly personality, while still getting all the important shots! I would highly reccommend April. Her assistant is equally as professional and very talented. What a great team!!

There are thousands of photographers to choose from - and I am so glad that Michelle and I chose April Smith. Very professional. There was a lot going on since my wife and I had planned much of the ceremony ourselves; April was able to take control and capture moments that we would enjoy for years. Amanda was wonderful! She was so kind and easy to communicate my vision to and she did a great job capturing those special moments at my wedding. It was a wonderful experience working with her. And I definitely recommend doing an engagement session with her as well because it really gave us a change to get to know her and allowed us to feel more comfortable with her at the wedding. April was simply AMAZING!!!! I had a photographer booked prior that should tell you something. I was surfing on some wedding websites and I saw April's work. It blew me away. I told my fiance "I want her!" April was professional, kind, compassionate, and a friend. April helped me keep my cool when my wedding dress was stolen a couple of days before the wedding and dealing with rain for an outdoor wedding. She made sure to capture all those special moments come rain or shine. And yes she was out in the rain with us with an umbrella in hand. Due to the rain we were not able to take some pictures at the State Capitol (Sacramento) in which I planned. But to my surprise April took pictures of the Capitol before she flew home. I was so touched! As I look through my wedding pictures, April was able to capture the emotion of the day and it just takes me right back. It was a true pleasure working with her. I hope we have more opportunities in the future.

we worked with amanda and april both and we are so happy with them. Amanda was our lead photographer and she is such an easy photographer to shoot with. she made us feel so comfortbale and at ease, that our pictures came out very beautiful and natural. on top of that, amanda will definitely do what it takes to get the perfect shot. for our pictures at the beach on a cold day, she didn't mind getting her feet and pants wet as she angled herself for some great shots of us for our engagement session. we love them both and want to plan another wedding just to work with them again. lucky for us, we get to see them again when they work our best man and maid of honor's wedding. that's how great these two ladies are. even our friends chose to work with them in less than one day of meetng them. we love you amanda and we miss you!

The most important thing as a bride to be is to remember how beautiful the most happiest day of your life will be. Well...April Smith helped me remember how beautiful that day was. A picture is worth a thousand words and working with her was worth millions. The smartest thing I did was pick April Smith to be my photographer. We were recommended to April by a patient of mine, looked at her website and loved it (you have to look at her adorable site and blog). After meeting her we knew we wanted her to capture our special day. She’s very professional and takes her job very seriously to make sure you have great memories to last you forever. But you cannot help but act like she’s a long time friend due to her warm and sweet personality. She has such an incredible creativity that makes her so different from many photographers and boy did we go through many photographers during the wedding planning (remember after the vows are said, the cake is cut, the dancing is over; the only thing you have left are the pictures so it's so important to pick someone that has great eye). She welcomes any input you may have and is super flexible. We are so thankful for her work on our engagement and wedding pictures. Boy was she patient with our big fat Filipino wedding, were there was constantly 5 to 8 other cameras shooting shoots right next to her throughout the day. Our pictures turned out wonderful! April is heaven sent; she is blessed with an incredible talent. All we can say is that April is a wonderful photographer, but more importantly she is good people that are very rare.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to find April for our simple, small outdoor winter wedding in Laguna Beach. We loved her energy and warm heart and her pictures were beautiful. Her professional and communication prior to the wedding was amazing and when our big day came, she proved to be irreplaceable and priceless. She managed to cover all the shots we wanted, despite the incooperative weather and even assisted with things such as attaching my veil when none of my girls or family could! She effortlessly and decreetly handled a couple delicate family matters and was amazing with my 5 year old goddaughter/flower girl (who still refers to our wedding as her "photo shoot"). There wasn't a guest that attended our wedding that didn't comment on how much they liked April, appreciated all her hard work and adored her pictures. We are now facing the difficult task of choosing! Based on our experiences, before, during and after the wedding, on her professinalism, reasonable rates and incredible character, my husband and I would highly recommend April Smith Photography. We were honored to have her as part of our day and to have her in our lives.

April was the best photographer that I had ever had contact with. I don't even like getting my picture taken all that much, and she did both our engagement photos and wedding photos. On top of it all, she puts everything up on a private website that you can send to your friends and family and they can order photos online! They are able to see them and pick one for themselves! April is young and active and has a lot of fresh ideas for wonderful, unique, and traditional pictures! To show her flexibility, I'll tell you a story. My husband and I had a long distance relationship and, therefore, were never able to get any engagement pictures taken. 6 days before the wedding, April met with us for the afternoon (ON A SUNDAY!) and spent several hours with us taking pictures and discussing the wedding day. She sent us a link by Tuesday with all of our pictures on it. We were able to choose one and she printed off a 14x11 so we could have it in a frame at the wedding by the gift/card table! April is an incredible photographer and I would recommend her to ANYONE!
