Cameo Edwards started Crave, a wholesale San Francisco bakery, in 2003. The year prior had been a frustrating one of trying to determine the source of her physical ailments. At last, she discovered the culprit to be gluten. Looking at the options on the market, she was left craving all the yummy things she used to be able to eat. After much experimentation, the perfect brownie was born. And subsequently, the idea for sharing this gem with the public. With a delicious brownie recipe in hand and lots of passion, Cameo approached retail shops and the rest is history. In 2009, after several years of customer requests, we began offering our custom cake services in San Francisco and the Bay Area. We fulfill all orders ranging from Gluten and Allergy-Free Wedding, Birthday, Corporate, Anniversary, Baby Shower, to Graduation Cakes and Cupcakes. Each cake is made from scratch and tailored to that particular special occasion. We can accommodate various food allergies including peanuts, tree nuts, soy, dairy (or casein/milk protein), corn and, of course, gluten sensitivities. Pretty soon, we were getting requests from other parts of the US. So we decided to expand our Crave Custom Cakes to more areas.
Crave has partnered with amazing and talented designers in different cities to bring our cakes closer to you. All designers have been trained with Crave's famous recipes and cross contamination and safety procedures. Kelly Zubal designs our San Francisco cakes and NancyKay designs our Los Angeles cakes.
